Thank you for visiting our mission website! Through this website, we hope to document our year long mission trip in Sihanoukville, Cambodia, and also regularly update our mission partners, church, and loved ones about our mission trip. Each month, mission reports and prayer requests from the team will be posted.
We chose the name "Love in Sihanoukville" for our team and website because we wanted our primary goal in Sihanoukville to be sharing God's love with the people we meet every day. We may be tempted to stray away from that goal and focus more on our teaching job or our personal agenda. We may attempt to "do great things for God" with our own strength. But like what it says in 1 Cor. 13:1-3, if we didn't love others, our whole year in Sihanoukville would be nothing. So we will make it our priority to actively share God's love with others because that is the most important thing we could accomplish!
"Three things will last forever - faith, hope, and love - and the greatest of these is love." 1 Cor. 13:13
The beginning...
In January 2014, the First Korean Baptist Church of Raleigh (FKBC) announced that they were looking to send a group of missionaries to Cambodia for one year. Since 2001, FKBC has continually sent out short-term summer mission teams to Cambodia and supported Missionary David Koo. However, the last Cambodia mission team was sent in 2009, and since then no other Cambodia mission teams were formed. But this year, Cambodia missions were re-introduced to the congregation, and a new team began to form.
So in February, the team started with two individuals: Sarah Park and Esther Yoo. Two months later, Grace Choi finalized her decision to commit as well. And finally, our last team member, Sally Han, joined towards the end of May. Although each of us came to the decision of committing differently, we are all unified through the same calling God has given us: to be sent out as missionaries and be used as His vessels.
Starting in September, we will be teaching at Life International School and living on the campus of Life University in Sihanoukville, Cambodia. At Life International School, Grace Choi will be the main principal responsible for Pre-K through middle school. Sarah Park will be the kindergarden teacher, Esther Yoo will be the first grade teacher, and Sally Han will be the second grade teacher. We will also be involved with the English Ministry of the local church and do other outreach programs.
We're just four ordinary people with a vision to be used by God and expand His kingdom where He leads us. It is through God's guidance and the support of our fellow sisters and brothers in Christ that this can be possible.

In the spring of 2015, as the first team was wrapping up their year in Cambodia, another team was getting ready back in Raleigh. Chanyang Jeong and Daniel Kim prayed and decided to go to Cambodia for a year. So in August the first team arrived back in America, and Grace met the new team that will be coming with her in September.
As God continues to lead and use us in Cambodia, please pray for us and support us through this new school year.
